The president, in his message on the Day, said that Pakistan values Germany as a trusted partner and noted that bilateral relations continue to expand across political, economic, energy, cultural, educational, scientific and technological fields.
He also appreciated Germany’s important role within the European Union and its contribution towards strengthening Pakistan-EU relations.
President Zardari expressed the hope of working closely with President Steinmeier to further promote the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between Pakistan and Germany for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
